Report: Maryland Shortlists Teams to Build, Operate, Finance Purple Line
The chosen team will be the first team to participate in a public-private partnership in Maryland transit history, The Washington Post reported.

Maryland officials recently picked four teams of developers to compete to design, build, operate, maintain and help finance the $2.2 billion Purple Line light rail from Bethesda to New Carrollton, The Washington Post reported.
The four teams were chosen from a field of six. They'll compete for the first public-private partnership in Maryland transit history, The Postreported.
The four competing teams, according to The Post, are:
- Maryland Purple Line Partners:Â Vinci Concessions, Walsh Investors, InfraRed Capital Partners, Alstom Transport and Keolis
- Maryland Transit Connectors:Â John Laing, Kiewit Development and Edgemoor Infrastructure
- Purple Line Transit Partners:Â Meridiam Infrastructure, Fluor Enterprises and Star America Fund
- Purple Plus Alliance:Â Macquarie Capital and Skanska Infrastructure Development
