Rockville Man Charged In Murder Of 66-Year-Old Bethesda Man
Police said Billy J. Phillips, 36, was arrested and charged in the murder of Geoffrey Biddle, a 66-year-old Bethesda resident.
BETHESDA, MD — A Rockville man was arrested and charged in the murder of 66-year-old Geoffrey Biddle, a former Chevy Chase city manager whose body was found in his apartment on June 24, according to police.
Billy J. Phillips, 36 of Key West Avenue in Rockville, was charged with first-degree murder and is being held without bond, according to the Montgomery County Police Department.
Police said they were conducting a welfare check on Biddle after his coworkers called to say he hadn't been in to work. They found his body, and a medical examiner determined the cause of death to be a gunshot wound.
