This spring is beautiful, but it is not peaceful due to the outbreak of COVID-19, which is threatening our safety and our lives.
With the spread of the coronavirus pandemic since the beginning of 2020, the CDC confirmed the first positive case of COVID-19 in the U.S. at the end of January, adding the U.S. to the list of infected countries. From there, the spread of COVID-19 within the U.S. and the number of positive cases began climbing dramatically in less than one month. On March 13, 2020, President Trump declared a state of national emergency due to the coronavirus pandemic, and since then, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan has issued multiple actions to slow the spreading of COVID-19, including the closing of all schools, the shutdown of all non-essential business, and strict restrictions on all senior centers, among other things.

Thus, CCACC made a decision to close its Adult Day Healthcare Center (ADHC) after an emergency board meeting. Instead of providing services on-site, CCACC will deliver certain services right to homes by sending employees to deliver food and medicine, and providing transportation for seniors in need of clinical checkups. Each senior is given an emergency contact card from CCACC, so that they can contact CCACC when they need help. CCACC is covering all costs.
