Traffic Alert: Bethesda Weekend Lane Closures for Construction
Plan ahead for lane closures on MD 187 (Old Georgetown Road) in Bethesda on Saturday and Sunday.

BETHESDA, MD — Drivers should expect some traffic slowdowns this weekend with lanes closed along a section of MD 187 while a crane is removed from a work site, state highway officials said.
At 5 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, lanes on MD 187 (Old Georgetown Road) between Wisconsin Avenue and Commerce Lane will close. Officials said the closure for construction will last until about 11 p.m. on Sunday, March 20.
Detours are unnecessary. Three right lanes on MD 187 will be used as work zones and the left-most parking lane will be used for through travel.
