Weekend Metro Schedule: Single-Tracking, Blue Line Shutdown

BETHESDA, MD — Taking the Metro this weekend? Here's everything you need to know before heading out the door.

Red Line trains will operate every 12 to 18 minutes, but single-track between Dupont Circle and Van Ness-UDC after 10 p.m.

There will be no Blue Line service due to the Platform Improvement Project.

On Saturday:

  • Franconia-Springfield and Van Dorn Street stations will be served by Yellow Line trains, operating between Franconia-Springfield and Mt. Vernon Square/7th Street-Convention Center
  • Arlington Cemetery station will be closed
    • Free shuttles will be provided between Rosslyn, Arlington Cemetery, and Pentagon

On Sunday:

  • Trains operate every 24 minutes between Franconia-Springfield and Largo Town Center
  • Due to construction for the Potomac Yard Metro station:
    • Trains will single-track between Braddock Road and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

Orange Line trains will run every 15 to 20 minutes.

Silver Line trains will also operate every 15 to 20 minutes.

On Saturday:

  • Addison Road station will be closed
    • Free shuttle buses will be provided between that station and Capitol Heights
    • View wmata.com/platforms for additional travel alternatives

On Sunday:

  • All stations will be served

If you're taking the Yellow Line...

On Saturday:

  • Trains will run every 24 minutes in two segments:
    • Between Huntington and Greenbelt
      • With additional service between Franconia-Springfield and Mt. Vernon Square/7th Street-Convention Center
    • Trains will single-track between Braddock Road and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport

On Sunday:

  • Trains will run every 24 minutes between Huntington and Mt. Vernon Square/7th Street-Convention Center only
  • Trains will single-track between Braddock Road and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport

Green Line trains will operate every 15 to 20 minutes.
