What Are the Richest Small Towns In America?

It's nice to see how the other half lives. And to see where they live.

Movoto Real Estate recently ranked the top ten richest small towns in America.

The median household and median home value of communities with populations between 30,000 and 80,000 were ranked. Then those towns were judged on a variety of categories – luxury car dealers per capita, country clubs per capita, expensive jewelry stories, fine dining establishments, distance to the nearest polo field, distance to the nearest yacht club – you get the idea.

Movoto then ranked the ten richest towns. A gallery featuring the communities is attached this post. The rankings were:

2. Palo Alto, Calif.
3. McLean, Virginia
4. Redondo Beach, Calif.
5. Menlo Park, Calif.
6. Lexington, Mass.
7. Brentwood, Tenn.
8. Foster City, Calif.
9. Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.
10. Laguna Niguel
10. Hoboken New Jersey
