Harris Teeter, Giant, Safeway: Christmas Hours Around Bethesda

BETHESDA, MD — Remembering to stock every ingredient for your Christmas dinner isn't easy. Whether it's brown sugar to glaze the ham, or wine to toast the holiday, there's always something that doesn't make it into the shopping cart. Hey, it happens to the best of us.

Should you need to make a last-minute grocery run, don't panic. Several grocery stores in the Bethesda-Chevy Chase area will be open — at least for a little while — on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Operating hours may vary by location, so it's best to double check with your local grocery store. These are the stores that will be open and closed on Tuesday, Dec. 24 and Wednesday, Dec. 25.

• Harris Teeter:
  • On Christmas Eve, stores will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

• Whole Foods:
  • On Christmas Eve, stores will be open at 7 a.m. and closed at 7 p.m.
• Giant Food:
  • On Christmas Eve, the store located at 7142 Arlington Rd will be open from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • On Christmas Day, the same store will be open from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • The store located at 5463 Wisconsin Ave will only be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve
  • On Christmas Eve, the store located at 5400 Westbard Ave will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • On Christmas Day, the same store will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Safeway:
  • The store located at 4701 Sangamore Rd will be open from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Christmas Eve
  • On Christmas Day, the same store will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • The store located at 5000 Bradley Blvd will be open from 12 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Christmas Eve
