$250 Million Development Breaks Ground In PG County: Report

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD — Officials have broken ground on a new $250 million mixed-used development spanning 500,000 square feet in Capitol Heights, according to a report.

The Washington Business Journal reports that the project will be called Hampton Park, and it will be a redevelopment of the Hampton Mall. The project will include a new office building that will be home to the PG County departments of Health and Human Services, Veteran Affairs, and Family Services.

The project will also include a new hotel with 120 rooms, a grocery store, and a restaurant, in addition to 200 residential units.
