Wow House: Bellevue Plantation House with Outbuildings, 250-Year-Old Tree, for Sale
Take a look inside one of the top homes on the market in Prince George's County.
ACCOKEEK, MD — Belluvue isn't the stereotypical movie style plantation, but the 176-year-old house on the remains of a colonial tobacco location is an historic example of the plantation style, say experts.
The double-parlor plantation house, with two free-standing brick chimneys, an ancient 250-year-old tree on the grounds, an outbuilding and modern kitchen wing is on the Prince George's County real estate market. The property includes 2½ acres of woods along the Mattawoman Creek, plus three outbuildings — a guesthouse, an orangery and an office — were added. The four-bedroom, three-bathroom, 2,759-square-foot main house retains its Greek revival interior details.
This week’s “Wow House” is located at 315 Farmhouse Road in Accokeek. The Tidewater-style four-story home has 5 bedrooms, 5 full bathrooms, and 2,759 square feet.
