AACC's Truxal Library Awarded for Architecture Design

The library in Arnold received a huge makeover in 2012, expanding its size by 31,330 feet, and modernizing its equipment and services.

Anne Arundel Community College's recent renovation of the Truxal Library in Arnold received an architectural award for its merits.

The Award of Merit was given by the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Institute of Architects to the architects for the project, EwingCole, which is based out of Philadelphia.

The Truxal Library, first built in 1967, received a huge makeover in 2012, expanding its size by 31,330 feet, and modernizing its equipment and services.

The library's renovation was cited for its "careful approach to planning, creating an environment conducive to study and the placement of the addition relative to nearby buildings," according to a press release from AACC.
