Jean William Showe, 96, of Arnold, died March 7 in Severna Park. A longtime resident of Pines-on-the-Severn, Showe was a World War II veteran in the United States Navy, and was wounded in the battle of Guadalcanal in 1942, when his ship was sunk. (From Barranco & Sons)
C. Edna Wheeler, 85, of Arnold, died March 8. She first met her husband Bill in the second grade. The couple grew up together, and were later married for 65 years. (From Barranco & Sons)

Richard "Dick" Seitz, 71, of Arnold, died March 8 at his home. After serving in the United States Air Force, he worked for the Smithsonian as stationary engineer where he eventually retired. (From Barranco & Sons)
Dorothy F. Higgins, 89, of Centerville, died March 12. She was a life-long member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Severn Post #175 in Severna Park, where she served as its president and treasurer for many years. (From Barranco & Sons)
