City Council Meeting Preview
A look at the major agenda items for the September 15 city council meeting.

This week's City Council meeting was moved to Wednesday due to Tuesday's election. Here's a breakdown of the major agenda items, and as always, those unable to attend can read Patch's coverage of the meeting in the coming days.
Traffic Calming Devices at St. Andrew's Place: The council will vote on whether to install traffic calming devices at the 9200 block of St. Andrew's Place. Â The city performed a 48-hour traffic analysis at the end of October, and found that 10.15 percent of traffic is moving in excess of 30 mph. In order for the city to deem speeding a problem, 15 percent of traffic or more needs to exceed 30 mph.
Nevertheless, residents came forward at the August 10 meeting to voice their concerns about the safety of the street.
