Columbia Man Hit, Killed While Crossing Dobbin Road: Police

COLUMBIA, MD — Howard County police are investigating a fatal collision that occurred May 14 in Columbia at approximately 8:48 p.m. A 2010 Toyota Corolla was traveling east on Dobbin Road at Old Dobbin Lane when it hit a person crossing Dobbin Road.

The victim, 42-year-old Mohammad Hossain of Columbia, was taken to Howard County General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The man driving the Toyota and a juvenile passenger were uninjured and remained on the scene. The investigation into the collision is ongoing; no charges have been filed at this time.
