Columbia Snowfall Totals For March 2019 So Far

COLUMBIA, MD — A little more than two weeks remain until spring, but Mother Nature wants everyone to know it's most certainly still winter. Around Maryland, there have been rounds of snowfall since March arrived. Frederick County has seen the most, with nearly a foot of snow by March 3.

In the first three days of March, Columbia has gotten about 3 inches of snow, according to preliminary data submitted to the National Weather Service.

Here are the unofficial snow totals that trained spotters, emergency management employees and National Weather Service workers have recorded in Columbia:

• 2.4 inches in Columbia as of 7 a.m. on Friday, March 1
• 0.6 inch in Columbia as of 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 3
