Columbia Woman Carjacked At Gunpoint: Police

An 18-year-old and 25-year-old from Baltimore were arrested and face numerous charges stemming from this incident, police say.

COLUMBIA, MD —A woman was carjacked at gunpoint shortly after 8 p.m. Monday along Town Center Avenue. The woman told the Howard County Police Department that she was in her vehicle when two suspects approached her, pulled out a gun then stole her vehicle. When police attempted to stop the vehicle along Route 175, the suspects crashed it.

Officers were able to arrest Alexus Shantel Scott, 25, and Khaliq Nafi Wright, 18, both of Baltimore, who have been charged with armed carjacking, armed robbery, assault, stealing a motor vehicle and weapon violations, according to the police department.
