Flash Flood Watch Includes Howard County
The National Weather Service has issued a weather alert for Howard and several other counties.

Weather officials say flash flooding is possible as heavy rain soaks the region Thursday afternoon, followed by repeated thunderstorms into the evening.
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for the following counties, effective from 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, to 6 a.m. on Friday, June 17:
- Allegany
- Anne Arundel
- Baltimore
- Carroll
- Frederick
- Howard
- Montgomery
- Prince George's
- Washington
A flash flood watch means conditions may develop that lead to a rapid rise in water level.
