Flood Warning Affects Howard County Friday
The U.S. National Weather Service issued a flood warning for northwestern Howard County that's in effect until 8:30 p.m.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The U.S. National Weather Service Baltimore/Washington has issued a flood warning for northwestern Howard County that's in effect until 8:30 p.m. Friday. Late Friday afternoon, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that could cause flooding, the National Weather Service report.
More than one inch of rain has already fallen and heavy rain continues to fall in the warning areas. Totals surpassing two inches are likely, especially near the Frederick and Montgomery County border.
Showers and thunderstorms should end by 11 p.m., then scattered showers will occur between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Patchy fog may roll through after 2 a.m. Saturday will bring mostly sunny weather with a high near 90. Saturday night will be mostly clear. Sunday cools off a bit with sunny skies and a high near 80 degrees.
