GreenFest To Go On Rain Or Shine In Columbia
The eco festival includes everything from free paper shredding to live reptile presentations.

COLUMBIA, MD — To celebrate Earth Day, Howard County is hosting its annual GreenFest on Saturday, April 22. The event is rain or shine at Howard Community College. Admission is free.
This is the 10th anniversary of the Howard County GreenFest, and there are some new offerings this year. Among them is a "repair cafe," where volunteers from Transition Howard County will evaluate and fix what items they can (e.g., toasters, lamps, clothes, toys, electronics). They will answer questions about repairs on items that are too large or not possible to bring in, such as plumbing or large furniture.
Shredding will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 22.
