Happy New Year but why some wears & tears?

According to USAtoday, this year New Year's Eve sees gun violence across nation, concluding record-high year of mass killings.

The new year 2020 has started all around the globe with all the special celebrations and traditions. Out of all celebrations, many ended up involved in felonies, accidents, and arrests. 2019 was a deadly year for gun violence, and New Year's Eve was no different hence, causing more stress and fear for Americans. This is all heart weakening news indeed.

Unfortunately, these are the people mistakenly raised with the notion that Celebrating anything means fulfilling the desires in super excited ways, which is absolutely totally wrong.

As a follower of "true Islam- Ahmadiyyat" , we believe on moderation and civility in all our thinkings, actions and deeds. We try our best to indulge in prayers to gain all kind of strength needed to control our attitudes and behaviors. Prayer is a best tool to gain God's blessings. Our community planned to went to the house of God all over the globe to spend more time in prayers and reflections and to seek blessings for the next year.

More over, whatever set of believes we possess, one can exercise "moderation", "civility", and "decency" by being mindful of the actions and knowing their consequences, which often are the results for the life time.

However, Muslims also believe that one should not loose faith in God in tough times too. Therefore, I have a good news and strong hope for the people who have celebrated the new year with some tears and wears after their uncivil actions, its still not late...God is merciful for those who repent on their mistakes truly by heart. In His Holy book Quran, He say: "If you come one step towards me, I will come 10 steps towards you."

Lets together make every new year resolution based upon spreading more love, bringing more peace, and thinking more compassionately for ourselves and for all others.

As a result, true everlasting happiness not only knock on everyone's door but also, next time the police department could also have a chance to have more time with their families.:)
