Historic $675K Davidsonville Home Features Original Wood

This 1855 colonial bears the signature of Thomas Talbott atop the fireplace. He was the farm manager for Thomas Davidson, the plantation owner for whom Davidsonville was named.

Hickory Ridge Namesake Listed For $9 Million

In the mid 1700s, Col. Henry Ridgely, one of the early colonists in Maryland, bequeathed a tract of land called Hickory Ridge to his son, according to the Maryland Historic Trust. More than 200 years later, to pay tribute to the area's heritage, developers of the new planned community of Columbia opted to name one of Columbia's 10 villages "Hickory Ridge." The village of Hickory Ridge was incorporated in 1972.
