Live Music Returns To Merriweather Post Pavilion This Summer
Silenced for more than a year due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Merriweather Post Pavilion will again host concerts starting July 4.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Once a lively hot spot for concerts and other activities, the Merriweather Post Pavilion has remained eerily silent due to the coronavirus pandemic. But finally, music lovers are rejoicing. The first concert in more than a year will be held at the Merriweather Post Pavilion July 4th weekend.
Promoter I.M.P. Concerts will be bringing the M3 Rock Festival to Howard County. The 3-day event features a classic metal-heavy lineup that includes Kix, Slaughter, Queensryche, Winger, Night Ranger, Bullet Boys, Steve Adler, Lita Ford, Great White, Steelheart and others.
Other shows planned for 2021 at the venue include ACM entertainer of the year Luke Bryan, the Dave Matthews Band and Hall & Oates. The Merriweather also will host the Capital Jazz’s return to live events. Originally scheduled for June 2021, Capital Jazz will be held Sept. 4-5.
