Looks Salon Holds Fundraiser for Grassroots

Looks Salon and Spa will hold the Looks for Life fundraiser for Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center, on Sunday, Sept. 14, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Looks Salon and Spa will hold the 12th Annual Looks for Life, a fundraiser for Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center, on Sunday, Sept. 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Proceeds will benefit Grassroots’ crisis intervention efforts, including suicide prevention. The event is hosted by Looks owner Marilyn Petersen, in memory of her son, Patrick Jameson, who took his own life in 2002. The annual fundraiser has garnered over $135,000 since it started.

Looks for Life includes a silent auction, raffle and music. Refreshments will be available. Attendees can get a $40 haircut/style, $25 blowdry, $15 manicure, $12 eyebrow wax and $25 half hour massage. All of the employees at Looks donate their services, which are discounted on the day of the fundraiser.

Looks for Life Sponsorships are available starting at $250 for businesses to put their business cards and brochures at one of the 40 stylist stations in the salon. Call 410-381-9030 for information about sponsorship opportunities.
