Security Guard At Columbia Giant Store Assaulted By Woman: Police

COLUMBIA, MD — A security guard at the Giant store on Cradlerock Way was assaulted at knifepoint Saturday, according to the Howard County Police Department. The incident happened Jan. 23 at approximately 4:45 p.m. The police department reported that a security guard confronted a man and woman who had stolen items in their possession.

That's when the woman assaulted the guard and pulled out a knife. She and the man then took off. Nicole Renee McConnell, 34, of Hickory Log Circle in Columbia, and Michael Roary, 36, of Overheart Lane in Columbia, have been charged with armed robbery, robbery, assault and theft.
