HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The National Weather Service has posted preliminary snow totals from the region after Friday's snowfall. Central Maryland saw moderate snowfall compared with the northwestern part of the state, where Allegany County reported 6 inches of accumulation.

Here are the latest measurements submitted from Howard County on Friday, Feb. 1. Columbia saw the most snow in the county, based on the data.

  • 1.5 inches — Elkridge — 6:20 p.m. by trained spotter
  • 1.5 inches — Elkridge — 5:41 p.m. by National Weather Service employee
  • 1.5 inches — Simpsonville — 7 p.m. by trained spotter
  • 1.2 inches — Simpsonville — 3 p.m. by trained spotter
