Thunderstorm Watch Issued Thursday For Howard County
The National Weather Service issued a weather alert for Howard County Thursday until 10 p.m.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The U.S. National Weather Service Baltimore/Washington has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Howard County that's in effect until 10 p.m. Thursday. Showers and thunderstorms are expected late this afternoon and evening, with scattered incidents of damaging winds possible.
According to the NWS, there is an increase in a risk of flooding due to the forecast rain. Showers and thunderstorms are expected Friday afternoon and evening. The severe thunderstorm watch applies to Anne Arundel, Allegany, Baltimore, Carroll, Frederick, Harford, Howard, Montgomery, Prince George's and Washington counties as well as Baltimore City.
