Vantage Point's Virtual Spring Programs Showcase Imagination
Second in Series Features "Writer to Writer" Conversation between Edith Pearlman and Carrie Brown

Residences at Vantage Point hosts the second event in the Arts & Culture Collective Spring Awakening series with “Writer to Writer” featuring octogenarian and National Book Award finalist Edith Pearlman in conversation with author Carrie Brown on Wednesday, March 31, from 7-8 p.m. The event is free. Registration is required.
The Arts & Culture Collective was established by the Residences at Vantage Point in response to community members’ interest in hosting public activities that engage and educate as well as entertain.
The second event in the Spring Awakening series showcases Pearlman and Brown speaking together in the Howard County Poetry and Literature Society’s Writing Life literary talk show produced in Columbia. Moderated by Dr. Tara Hart, Professor and Chair, Humanities, Howard Community College, this virtual event will include audience participation. It is set for April 14, 7-8 p.m.

The third event, “Dancing Through the Generations,” is an art talk by Trudy Babchak, Assistant Director of the Columbia Art Center and award-winning artist. A second generation survivor of the Holocaust, her work is created from imagery drawn from her family’s experiences. Her on-line presentation is set for April 28, 7-8 p.m. Audience discussion will be moderated by Tim Singleton, poet and arts essayist for the Little Patuxent Review and Arts & Humanities adjunct faculty, Howard Community College.

About Residences at Vantage Point
Residences at Vantage Point was founded in 1990 and is a nonprofit serving people age 60 and above. Managed by Life Care Services, the community includes a variety of residential living arrangements from studio to two-bedroom deluxe apartments. It provides long-term health services available exclusively for residents should they need them.
