Washer, Dryer Stolen From Home: Howard County Police Blotter

The home from which the appliances were stolen was under construction, according to the Howard County Police Department.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The following is a roundup of police activity for the previous week in Howard County.

Commercial burglary
Columbia, 21045: ezStorage, 8200 block of Snowden River Parkway, March 6 8:05 p.m.
Police responded for a report of a disorderly suspect and located him at the above location. Police determined that he had damaged an access panel. Nothing was reported stolen. The suspect was arrested.
ARRESTED: Jon Pocknett, 56, of Doncaster Drive in Indian Head, charged with burglary and destruction of property

Residential burglary
Sykesville, 21784: 800 block of Windy Knoll, March 6-7 overnight
Unknown suspect(s) entered the residence through a possibly unlocked door and stole cash and a safe box.

Unknown suspect(s) entered a residence under construction around March 3 and stole a washer and dryer. There were no signs of forced entry.

Residential burglary
Ellicott City, 21043: 8700 block of Town and Country Boulevard, March 8
Unknown suspect(s) entered the residence by breaking a door or bedroom window and stole various items.

Ellicott City, 21043: 4900 block of Lee Farm Court, March 8, unclear what if anything was stolen
Columbia, 21046: 10500 block of Justice Place, March 8-9 overnight, purse

ARREST: Commercial burglary update
Police have made an arrest in a Jan. 23 burglary at 2nd Avenue Stores in the 6500 block of Dobbin
Road in Columbia. A suspect entered the store through a possibly unlocked rear door and stole
various items. Through investigation, police identified the suspect and arrested him.
ARRESTED: Daqwahta Jackson, 22, of Knighthood Lane in Columbia, charged with burglary and theft
