HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Lights! Camera! Action! A musical revue and dance company concert put on by students with the Howard Community College Theatre and Dance Department will be held virtually this spring.

The 2021 HCC Dance Company concert will feature student dancers performing the work of faculty and guest choreographers. Directed by Elizabeth Higgins, the production includes the choreography of Elizabeth Higgins, Alex Krebs, Darion Smith and Vincent Thomas. This virtual concert integrates innovative movement and design as experienced through the art of dance for the camera. Dynamic and expressive dance sequences will be captured from multiple perspectives, engaging the viewer in a world of light and sound. Ticket holders can view the concert between April 30 and May 14 at howardcc.edu/danceconcerts.

The second virtual event for this spring, a musical theater revue, will be available to view May 28–June 13. Directed by Bill Gillett, the revue will feature HCC students and community members in a variety of musical theater numbers presenting songs that celebrate everyone's hope for reclaiming life-happenings that COVID has temporarily taken away. Visit howardcc.edu/studenttheatre to view the production, which will go live online May 7.
