3 Anne Arundel Lottery Winners Head to Chicago For Shopping Spree

Winners were randomly selected from more than 5.4 million entries. They will receive a free trip for two, $500 in spending cash,and more.

From MD Lottery and Gambling: Twelve excited Maryland Lottery winners will head to Chicago this weekend with the anticipation of bringing home a shopping cart full of free merchandise. The lucky winners from the Maryland Lottery’s holiday promotion will take part in a dream-come-true shopping spree.

Winners receive a two-night, three-day trip-for-two to Chicago, including airfare, hotel, welcome reception/dinner, $500 in spending cash and participation in the Warehouse Dash.

During the Dash, each winner has 90 seconds to run through a merchandise-filled warehouse and grab as many items as possible, ranging from designer purses to high-end electronics to outdoor grill sets and more. Winners and guests will have set roles -- one will push the shopping cart while the other tosses the merchandise into the basket. The winners are:

This is the second year in a row the Maryland Lottery awarded Warehouse Dash prizes. Last year, eight winners participated in the Dash, taking home a combined total of more than $166,000 in merchandise.

This year’s Holiday Cash & Dash second-chance promotion ran from October 24, 2016 through January 15, 2017. Players received entries into the contest by submitting non-winning holiday-themed scratch-offs into their My Lottery Rewards account. In addition to the 12 Warehouse Dash prizes, the Lottery awarded 756 other prizes including cash prizes of $10,000, $5,000 and $1,000, and 600 small merchandise prizes.
