Anne Arundel Nonprofits Can Apply For Community Support Grant

The deadline to apply is Feb. 19. Funds will be available on or after July 1.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Nonprofit organizations have until Feb. 19 to apply for a community support grant through the country. Funds will be available on or after July 1 pending fiscal year 2022 budget approval by the County Council. Last year, 26 organizations were awarded a total of $669,300.

Priority consideration will be given to applicants engaged in the following activities:

  • responding directly to a COVID-19 safety net need in the community and/or addressing a gap in nonprofit revenues due to COVID-19;
  • making services available to underserved populations;
  • addressing the health and well-being of communities;
  • promoting equity and inclusion.

“COVID-19 has impacted both county residents directly and the non-profit organizations that serve them,” Anne Arundel County Executive Steuart Pittman said in a release. “By prioritizing those programs which provide safety net services, we know the funds will meet the needs of residents hardest hit by the pandemic.”
