Blame it on your genes, but there is something scary about transforming into your mother. No matter how many times you swore it wouldn't happen to you, the day comes. You start out by saying the things she did, or nagging your kids about playing hamper basketball and the next thing you know, you’re clipping coupons, trimming chin hair and wearing a housecoat.
You actually (sometimes) feel compelled to clean, because God forbid the neighbor stops over like it's 1972. And if she does, you best have coffee cake on hand! You will talk during movies, (my grandmother), ooh and ah at certain scenes, even though you've seen Gone With The Wind twelve times, probably shushing your mother through ten of them.
Sometimes, you crack the same exact jokes. You become OCD about locking the door, checking the coffee pot etc..

You are constantly digging through your purse, be it for your keys, your lipstick, or a hard candy. :)
Well, it happened, yesterday I turned into my mother, I came out of CVS and got into someone else’s car. There was a twenty something kid seated in the passenger side who said “hi”, I nearly jumped out of my skin, I looked at him and said, don’t tell my kids! He laughed as I was getting out, probably thinking about who he was going to call first.

The difference here between me and my mother is, if the kid was a good looking man near my age, I would have waited for the person with the keys and driven him away. :)
