Crofton Development's Final Plan Denied By County P&Z Office
The final plan for The Enclave at Crofton has been rejected by the Anne Arundel County planning and zoning office.
CROFTON, MD — A development in Crofton has had its final plan shot down by the Anne Arundel County planning and zoning office. The Enclave at Crofton included 19 townhomes and 64 condominiums on seven acres adjacent to Route 3 and Crawford Boulevard. Neighbors are opposed to the development because of its planned density, environmental impact and traffic.
In a letter dated Aug. 30, planning and zoning officer Steve Kaii-Ziegler told a consultant for the project that he was denying the application for failure to comply with county code. This was the fourth submission. The plan was first submitted in January 2018. Issues of concern include not enough greenspace and construction encroaching on the nearby flood plain and wetlands.
The developer, Diamondback Investment Co. Inc., can appeal the decision, the Capital Gazettereported.
