Crofton Area High School students and parents can vote on a name for the new school at a public meeting Aug. 26. You can still submit names.

CROFTON, MD — Crofton Area High School students and parents can vote on a name for the new school at a public meeting Aug. 26. School Principal Kathryn Feuerherd will host the meeting for future students and parents, as well as community members, to discuss her vision for the school and have those at the meeting vote on their preference for a school name; there is still time to suggest a name.
At the meeting, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 26, at Crofton Middle School, Feuerherd will discuss her background and her vision for the school. There will be a question-and-answer time.
Attendees will vote on a school name to be forwarded to the Board of Education for consideration. Choices on the ballot will come from eligible names submitted by the public. No write-in votes will be allowed at the meeting, school officials said in a news release.
