Crofton LaCrosse Player Named To College GNAC All-Academic Team

The men's lacrosse team had the most honorees​ with 11 student-athletes chosen, including Nick Kandra, Jr., of Crofton.

CROFTON, MD — Norwich University placed a record 98 student-athletes on the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Academic Team. Norwich had 22 more student-athletes earn GNAC All-Academic honors than last year and 25 more than in 2017-2018. To be named to the GNAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher and be at least a sophomore.

The men's lacrosse team had the most honorees with 11 student-athletes chosen, including Nick Kandra, Jr., of Crofton. Kandra is majoring in criminal justice, is a member of the Norwich Corps of Cadets and aspires to join the U.S. Coast Guard or pursue a career in law enforcement. He posted back-to-back 10+ save performances to start the season and in 2019, saw action in 12 games while starting 11 as a sophomore, according to the college. Kandra played three years of lacrosse and hockey at South River High School, was captain of the lacrosse team senior year and named All-County Honorable Mention his junior and senior years.
