Crofton Man Killed When Car Crashes Into Parked Vehicle: Police

A 21-year-old Crofton man was killed when the car he was riding in crossed the center line, drove through a fence and hit a parked car.

CROFTON, MD — A Crofton man was killed in a weekend car accident that occurred in Severna Park Saturday shortly before 4 a.m. The incident occurred in the area of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard and Alameda Avenue. A Honda Civic headed southbound on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard crossed the center line and veered off the roadway.

The vehicle plowed through a fence at 783 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard and hit a vehicle parked in the driveway there, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department. The force of the crash pushed the parked car into the home and damaged the foundation. Two other vehicles parked at the home were damaged by debris, according to a police report.

The driver, 21-year-old Dane Cary Milleker of West Virginia, was taken to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center with serious injuries. Noah Havey Blonder, 21, of Crofton, was pronounced dead on the scene by Anne Arundel County Fire Department personnel. The preliminary cause of the collision appears to be excessive speed and failing to drive within a single lane; alcohol might be a contributing factor in the collision, too, the police department noted.
