Effective Medspa & Wellness Center Raises Money for AMMC

Effective Medspa & Wellness Center Rock Your Red Heels Charity Event Raises Money for Anne Arundel Medical Center Heart & Vascular Institute

For National Wear Red Day 2017, Effective Medspa and Wellness Center, located at The Village at Waugh Chapel in Gambrills, Maryland held a Rock Your Red Heels & Lips charity event on Friday, February 3, 2017, raising $1,115 dollars for Anne Arundel Medical Center’s (AAMC) Heart & Vascular Institute.

Effective Medspa partnered with local businesses to provide entertainment and raffle items for valuable prizes to event guests. Tickets to the event included and featured a fierce fashion show by Sandro Ferrone, sparkling jewelry by Stella & Dot, boudoir express private photo shoot by A Pictured Perspective, makeup and hair touchups, live D.J., bubbly tasting by Angel's Share Wine & Spirits and a decadent chocolate bar.

AAMC’s Certified Cardiovascular Care Coordinator, Toni Schiller spoke to attendees of the event to share some facts about heart disease, “Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women in the United States. In Anne Arundel County, the heart disease rate exceeds both the state and national average, and cardiovascular patients are becoming younger each year.” She stressed that even small contributions to AAMC’s and Vascular Institute make a difference in providing the education and prevention programs and emergency equipment to their cardiac department and ambulance vehicles that aid in savings lives.

This is the third charity event held by Effective Medspa & Wellness Center to raise money for programs at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Building on last year’s “UnMask Your Beaut” event that benefited AAMC Rebecca Fortney Breast Center, and last year’s “Captivate, Allure & Enchant” event that benefited Anne Arundel Medical Center’s Heart & Vascular Institute, Effective Medspa continues to fulfill their philanthropic mission to support local charities impacting the lives of people in the community. Effective Medspa and Wellness Center Owner, Laura Hardnett said, “As we lost one of our very own employees at our sister practice, Effective Integrative Healthcare to Long QT Syndrome 3, a heart disorder, supporting the Heart & Vascular Institute is a very personal cause, near and dear to our hearts.”
