Gear Up for South River Endurathon

The fundraiser for South River High School athletics will be held Oct. 18 in Edgewater.

Registration is open for the South River Endurathon, a fundraiser in support of South River High School athletics to be held Saturday, Oct. 18, at the school stadium.

The race consists of a 1-mile run, a 2.2-mile bike ride, another 1-mile run and ends with a 100-meter potato sack jump. Participants can take on the Endurathon individually or as a team of four members.

The Little Seahawks 30-meter sack race allows participants too young for the Endurathon to participate in the fun.

Bicycles are not provided; participants must bring their own bike and helmet.

The cost to participate is $20 for an individual; $60 for a four-member team; and $10 for the Little Seahawk sack race.

Schedule of events:

  • 8:30 a.m. Bike Drop Off and pick up packets
  • 9:50 a.m. Opening Ceremonies
  • 10 a.m. Little Seahawk Race
  • 10:30 a.m. Edurathon Race
  • 12:15 p.m. Awards/Closing Ceremony
