ICYMI: What's Open, Closed in Crofton on Martin Luther King Jr. Day

The Martin Luther King Jr. holiday is on Monday, Jan. 19. In observance of the holiday, Anne Arundel County government offices will be closed, along with Anne Arundel County Public Schools and libraries.

Trash and recycling collection in the county will take place on a regular schedule.

For those who will be in Annapolis, the Annapolis Transit will operate on a Sunday service schedule.

To celebrate the holiday, Annapolis will host the first Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Parade. Beginning at noon, the parade will travel from Amos Garrett Boulevard down West Street to Church Circle, down Main Street and end at City Dock.

Streets will be closed for the parade until about 2 p.m.
