Last Day Of School For Most AACPS Students Falls On June 18

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — After a whirlwind school year due to the coronavirus pandemic, students may be happy to know that for most of them, their last day of school will be June 18. The last day of school for graduating seniors will be May 27. The final session of afternoon classes for students at the Centers of Applied Technology will be June 15; the last day of morning classes there will be June 18.

Half-day prekindergarteners and ECI students will wrap up the 2020-2021 school year June 15 while full-day prekindergarteners and ECI students will end the school year June 18.

The last day of work for 191-day Unit I and Unit IV employees, which classroom teachers, teaching assistants, technology support technicians, etc., will be June 21.

According to Anne Arundel County Public Schools, any additional days needed for inclement weather closings would alter the last day of school accordingly.

The 2021-2022 school year is scheduled to start for most students Sept. 8, 2021. A complete 2020-2021 school year calendar can be found on the AACPS website here.
