Local Lacrosse Player Earns Collegiate AMCSUS Leadership Medal
Nick Kandra, a senior goalie on the men's lacrosse team at Norwich University, is one of two caedets to receive the AMCSUS Leadership Medal.
CROFTON, MD — Crofton native Nick Kandra, a senior goalie on the men's lacrosse team majoring in criminal justice, has been awarded the AMCSUS Leadership Medal (Association of Military Colleges & Schools of the U.S.). This distinction is awarded to just two cadets at the college level among 40 member schools. Kandra belongs to the Norwich University Corps of Cadets.
According to the university, Kandra was an All-GNAC Third Team selection his sophomore year, helped lead the Cadets to the GNAC championship and was named Tournament MVP. He sits among the Cadets' all-time leaders in wins, minutes, goals-against average, saves and save percentage for Norwich lacrosse.
