New Fitness Boot Camp Arrives In Anne Arundel County

Crofton Fit Body Boot Camp​ are HIIT or high intensity interval training.

GAMBRILLS, MD — Anyone looking for the extra push an indoor fitness boot camp offers can pop into the new Fit Body Boot Camp, which is opening in Crofton. Owners Darryl and Zoe Keeton currently own Bowie Fit Body Boot Camp and are opening this second location in Anne Arundel County. They'll be offering early morning and evening sessions, six per day weekdays and two morning sessions on Saturdays.

“We are unbelievably excited to be opening our second location in Crofton,” Zoe Rodriguez-Keeton, a newly retired U.S. Marine, said. “We can’t wait to bring our brand of fitness to the community.”

The workouts offered at Crofton Fit Body Boot Camp are HIIT, or high intensity interval training. They typically are short and intense.

"Crofton Fit Body’s workouts are only 30 minutes long, and as a nice bonus, this makes them extremely convenient for working professionals or busy parents. The best part about our workouts is that they kick in the afterburn effect, which supercharges the client’s metabolism for the next 36 hours," Rodriguez-Keeton said.

"Fit Body Boot Camp is known for producing amazing workouts that speed metabolism and burn fat, in just thirty minutes or less,” Darryl Keeton added. “Crofton is in for a treat. 2021 is time to get back to normal.”

The Keetons also will help with meal planning, focusing on eating a well-balanced diet of whole foods with one "cheat" meal per week.

"We know that long-term consistency is far more important to weight loss than striving for a perfect record," Rodriguez-Keeton said.

Rodriguez-Keeton has spent the last 20 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and has competed in several endurance events and fitness competitions including Ironman Florida, the JFK 50 Miler and more than a dozen marathons and triathlons. She is a certified personal trainer, a certified fitness nutrition specialist with the American Council on Exercise and a TRX qualified trainer. She also is the former Mrs. D.C. America runner-up from 2016 and enjoys competing in bodybuilding competitions.

Keeton is a certified personal trainer with the International Sports Science Association, a certified fitness nutrition specialist with the American Council of Exercise and is a TRX qualified trainer. He also holds a black belt in ITF taekwondo and has trained in boxing, combat jujutsu and muay thai. He, too, has competed in multiple marathons, half-marathons and other running events.

The fitness boot camp’s location will be at the Crofton Princess Center at 1166 Crain Highway South.
