What's Open, Closed For Juneteenth National Independence Day

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Anne Arundel County will recognize Juneteenth as an official holiday honoring the end of slavery in America, therefore county offices and the county court system will be closed Friday, June 18, in observance of Juneteenth.
Curbside collection of recycling, yard waste and trash will continue as normal on June 18, but Waste Management Services facilities will be closed and reopen June 19.
President Joe Biden declared Juneteenth, June 19, a federal holiday after he signed a bill Thursday that passed through the U.S. House of Representatives a day before.
