'Wheels For Wags' Car Show, Pet Adoption Event Rescheduled

CROFTON, MD - From Anne Arundel County Animal Control: Rain washed out last weekend's plans for Anne Arundel County Animal Control to host its fourth annual “Wheels for Wags,” a free car show and pet adoption event. The new date, weather permitting, is Saturday, August 19. This event will feature DJ Dev James, a 50/50 raffle and silent auction. Food will be available for purchase. The event will take place at:

Car owners are encouraged to enter their cars in the show and compete for trophies in several
categories as well as door prizes. Free car registration will be from 8:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. the day of the
show at the shelter. Dash plaques will be given to the first 50 registrants.

The annual car show is one of the shelter’s “nontraditional” events that help Anne Arundel County
Animal Control reach new potential adopters for its animals. There is no adoption fee to approved
adopters.

This event is co-sponsored by Friends of Anne Arundel County Animal Control (a nonprofit charity
organization) and the ACE Car Club (Annapolis Car Enthusiasts).
