The city of Annapolis has a full evening of patriotic festivities planned to celebrate the Fourth of July.
Parade:
The evening will start with a Fourth of July parade through town, featuring fire engines, marching bands and more. The parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Amos Garrett Boulevard and West Street and will head down West Street toward Church Circle. The parade will turn the wrong way around Church Circle and enter Main Street before eventually turning left onto Randall Street. It will come to a close in front of Market House at approximately 8 p.m.

Beginning at 8 p.m. and leading up until the fireworks display after dark, the Naval Academy Band will perform a concert at the city dock at Susan Campbell Park.
Fireworks:
Shortly after 9 p.m., the annual fireworks display is slated to begin from a barge in Annapolis Harbor.
According to the city’s website, the best areas from which to watch the fireworks include public spaces northeast of Severn River, from the Naval Academy Bridge, along any of the street-end parks facing Spa Creek or aboard a boat in the harbor.
The Spa Creek Bridge will close at 9 p.m. to give spectators another area to take in the fireworks display without obstruction.
The city warns parking will be restricted in a number of areas on July 4, and encourages residents not to park in residential areas. Among the parking structures that will be available for the July 4 festivities are:
- Park Place Garage
