Baltimore County Police Break Up Illegal Dog Breeding Operation

Baltimore County Animal Services impounded 14 dogs from an unlicensed for-profit breeder in the 2600 block of McComas Avenue.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — More than a dozen dogs have been freed from the confines of a puppy mill after the Baltimore County Animal Services impounded 14 dogs at an unlicensed for-profit breeder. The breeding operation was located in the 2600 block of McComas Avenue.

A Baltimore County resident worried about the condition of the property and the unhealthy appearance of the dogs reported those concerns to the Baltimore County Police Department and Animal Services, who together secured a warrant, entered the property and seized the dogs.

An administrative warrant provided full access to the property in an effort to locate, evaluate and impound mistreated animals. As a result, four dogs at the residence and an additional 10 dogs at an offsite location were taken to the Baltimore County Animal Shelter for further evaluation and treatment.
