Dundalk Train Gardens Still Open, Holiday Talk Moves to New Year
Information to get back to a routine in Dundalk after the Christmas holiday.

Thanksgiving and Christmas Day are over, the winter solstice is behind us and the days begin to get longer, but we still have to get through New Year's before we're back to a routine with work and school.
Here's some information to get the rest of the holiday work week kicked into gear:
1. The Weather: Thursday will be mostly sunny, with a high of about 44 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Thursday night will be mostly clear, with a low of about 32.
2. From history.com's This Day in History: "On December 26, 1946, in Las Vegas, Nevada, mobster Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel opens The Pink Flamingo Hotel & Casino at a total cost of $6 million. The 40-acre facility wasn't complete and Siegel was hoping to raise some revenue with the grand opening.
"Well-known singer and comedian Jimmy Durante headlined the entertainment, with music by Cuban band leader Xavier Cugat. Some of Siegel's Hollywood friends, including actors George Raft, George Sanders, Sonny Tufts and George Jessel were in attendance."
3. Christmas may be over, but you still show some love to the Christmas gardens at the Wise Avenue Volunteer Fire Company and the Dundalk-Patapsco Neck Historical Society and Museum.
4. Celebrate the New Year at noon Dec. 31Â instead of midnight at the Maryland Science Center.
5. Maryland Department of the Environment officials recently posted news about reissuing storm water permits in Baltimore County.
