Last Call for Food Santa! Dundalk Chamber Food Drive Ending

Food donations for the emergency food bank at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center will be accepted through early Wednesday morning.

There's still time—though not much—to pick up a few extra nonperishable food items for the Dundalk Chamber of Commerce's winter holiday food drive.

The Holidays-Are-For-Giving food drive officially ends Wednesday morning, according to Chamber Executive Director Dotty Cristy.

Donations can be dropped off at the Chamber office, located inside Dundalk Florist (7233 German Hill Road), until 8 p.m. Tuesday (when the shop closes).

"If you can get the food to my office by Wednesday morning at the very latest, that would be great," Cristy wrote in an email to Chamber members.

She also wants to thank the generous donor who dropped off two big bags of food recently while she was out of the office.

All food donations will benefit the emergency food closet at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.

Cristy has one more reminder for donors: "Don't forget to check out the beautiful poinsettias in the greenhouse" at Dundalk Florist.

You can make a donation to the food drive, buy a couple of last-minute gifts and support a family-owned and -operated business at the same time.
