BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A Baltimore County police officer helped a lost pig recently, according to officials. The four-legged pet was found wandering on North Point Boulevard.

"Sometimes a traffic hazard is a vehicle stuck in the road, and sometimes...it's a lost pig wandering back and forth across North Point Boulevard," the Baltimore County Police Department reported Tuesday, July 9.

Once the pig was on a leash, the officer even indulged in a little treat with the animal.

"Officer Murphy and his new friend enjoyed snacking on cookies together until the pig was returned home," police reported.

The pig pickup actually happened a few months ago, but "a precinct officer sent the story to us recently, and we loved it so much we wanted to share it!" police said.
