Low crime rates and housing prices contributed the high scores granted to these areas, as ranked by a real estate blog.

Well you should be, as those two areas were ranked by real estate blog Movoto as among the top 50 best places to live in Maryland.

  • Cost of living
  • Crime rate
  • High school graduation rate
  • Median household income
  • Median home value
  • Median rent price
  • Unemployment rate
Deal ranked 16, with low crime, strong home values and high rates of high school graduation contributing to the overall score. Mayo came it at number 28, with low crime and a good real estate market helping earn its place on the list.
