Fatal Shooting In Mount Airy Involved Howard County Officers
After observing a burglary in progress, police tried to conduct a traffic stop. The suspects allegedly rammed a Howard County police vehicle and drove at officers who were outside the car, resulting in fatal gunfire.
State Police Shootout In Salisbury Leaves 2 Dead
Two men are dead after a shootout was interrupted by Maryland State Police, who also fired shots, authorities say. The troopers who disrupted the gunfight were working off-duty as security at a restaurant, police said.
